Sometimes things are drawn the way they are on purpose. Just because something has little to no shading (for graphic purposes) or the anatomy is off (based on someone's art style or the artist choose to intentionally have it off) doesn't mean it's not up to standards.
If we judge that the overall effect achieved by warped anatomy or lack of detail/shading is a quality our watchers would appreciate, we accept it nevertheless
